Chapter 11 Subchapter v Trustee

L. Todd Budgen

I have been appointed to serve as a Chapter 11 Subchapter v Trustee for the Middle District of Florida Bankruptcy Court. Subchapter v is a type of chapter 11 bankruptcy that offers many small businesses the opportunity to file a chapter 11, modified in a way that may help reduce costs and may help successful completion of a reorganization. A Subchapter v case may offer a small business or an individual (with primarily business-related debts) a way to reorganize and reduce debt.

As a Subchapter v Trustee, I am responsible for assisting parties with a successful reorganization, among other duties. I welcome input from creditors and debtors in the cases assigned to me. My assignments are made on a case-by-case basis. I am not a “standing” or “panel” trustee and I work with, and not in place of, the U.S. Trustee.

I became a licensed attorney in 2000 and began my bankruptcy practice in Orlando in 2004. I am also a circuit-civil certified mediator. I try to use these skills in each case where I am chosen to serve.

Creditors and debtors may contact me via the methods listed on this page. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
